Nearly 50 years ago, the foundations of SITIPS were being built by hand. Long before racing databases, software platforms and artificial intelligence, one of our founders worked alongside his father, who meticulously recorded race meetings, horses, trainers, jockeys, distances and track conditions using notebooks, folders and handwritten records.
Thousands of races were catalogued and analysed in an effort to understand what truly separated winning horses from the rest of the field. Those early years created a lifelong fascination with racing data, probability and performance analysis.
Years later, after completing university and building a successful software development career, the founder returned to the family project. The paper-based system evolved into a digital platform. Decades of observations and racing intelligence were transformed into databases, algorithms and analytical models.
